Wine lovers from A Coruña, Lugo, and Italy, in addition to 4 bloggers, took part in the grape harvest and its subsequent grape and wine tasting at Toubes Manor.
For many of them it was their first experience as a grape harvester in which they could enjoy pruning Treixadura grapes from the vineyards surrounding the Manor. They were also told the history of the Manor, Ribeiro’s most traditional wine culture, including its grape and wine varieties and their properties.
Viña Costeira above all prioritizes the safety of their clients. Therefore the following guidelines have been established for our visitors: individual equipment for grape picking; mandatory use of face masks and hand sanitizer; each group, friends, couples, families, or friends, will wear T-shirts with different colors, so as to keep them separated; different areas will be assigned to each team, as well as in the last part of our experience, where each team will be given a separate table.
The icing on the cake to top off our experience was in the Manor’s porch, where a grape and wine tasting was offered, with wines from the main local varieties: Albariño, Godello, and Loureira. Afterward a guided tasting featuring the aforementioned three varieties of wine were offered with the following wines: Amadeus treixadura, Tamborá Godello, and Modus Vivendi, a blend of Treixadura, Albariño, and Loureira.
A special, fun, and unforgettable morning.
See you next year, grape pickers!
