Our most emblematic vineyard is located in the heart of the Ribeiro region. From its viewpoint you can enjoy the best views of the landscape made up of the Avia and Miño valleys. Without a doubt, the best location to get to know the characteristics of this denomination and enjoy the magic of the Ribeiro during our wine tourism routes.
It consists of a total of 12 hectares arranged in slopes and terraces at different altitudes, ranging from 200 to 322 metres above sea level. Its soils, of granitic origin and abundant metamorphic schist, allow us to achieve the highest quality by producing the main native varieties: Treixadura, Albariño, Loureira and Godello.
With grapes from the San Cibrao Estate we make Amadeus (Treixadura 100%) and Tamborá(Godello 100%).
Finca Saa, our boutique estate of only 4 small plots on slopes and terraces overlooking the Miño valley. Its average altitude is around 250 metres above sea level and it has a south-east orientation, which means that both solar and wind exposure are very favourable, allowing for optimum ripening.
The granitic soils together with the good microclimatic conditions make Finca Saa the perfect place to grow the main grape of Ribeiro: Treixadura. Thanks to the excellent quality of the grapes harvested we produce Meu Treixadura and Vía Barrosa Treixadura.
The true origin of Ribeiro is in the area of Riobó, in Cenlle. There we find the Pazo de Toubes, a jewel of the 18th century rural heritage restored by Viña Costeira.
The project also included the recovery of their old estates, using the granite material extracted from the hillside to form the terraces, seeking the best orientation for our vineyards.
It is located at an altitude of between 200 and 400 metres, sheltered by the mountains and stretching down to the valley floor. This means that each plot has its own differentiating characteristics. Thanks to the particularities of its sandy soil, production is naturally regulated, giving priority to the quality of the grapes over the quantity obtained.
An exceptional land, ideal for producing Treixadura, Albariño and Loureira, used for the Pazo de Toubes Family of Estate Wines: Modus Vivendi and Toubes.
The name of this estate refers to the long history of Ribeiro winemaking. The origin of the wineries in this appellation, its century-old vines and the importance of maintaining traditional techniques in the vineyard.
It is a single plot of land, on the banks of the Avia river, in Leiro, located at an altitude of 100 metres above sea level and set on a granite terrain with a sandy loam texture.
This very special estate has everything necessary to produce our main grape variety: Treixadura, which is specifically used for the production of our most emblematic wine, Viña Costeira.
In the highlands of Larouco, at the confluence of the Xares and Bibei rivers, is our Abelleira estate, a project that allows us to continue our work of recovering native Galician grapes.
It has a total surface area of 10 hectares, divided into 7 plots, located at an altitude of 550 metres above sea level. Its soils are sandy loam, with a gently sloping hillside orography.
The autochthonous varieties grown are Mencía, which is used for the production of Viña Costeira Mencía, Codos de Larouco Mencía and the Godello grape for Vía Barrosa Godello and Codos de Larouco Godello.
It is located in Gomariz, one of the best winegrowing areas of the Ribeiro D.O., and consists of a total of 12 hectares divided into 10 terraced plots.
Finca de O Carqueixal is located at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level and, thanks to its good exposure and the characteristics of the soil on which it sits, the wine production is of extreme quality.
The autochthonous varieties grown are Treixadura, Albariño and Godello; the grapes used to make the perfect “coupage” for the production of Colección 68.
The Coio Branco Estate is one of the pioneering projects in the Ribeiro D.O. focused on the recovery and enhancement of vineyards located in the Castrelo de Miño area, ensuring their sustainability and survival.
It has a maximum altitude of 350 meters and is made up of 12 plots that slope down to the Miño valley.
These sandy loam soils provide optimal conditions for growing Treixadura grapes for the production of our unique sparkling wines. Lúa Jazz and Lúa de Costeira.
