Fingerlakes International Wine Competition 2017 (FLIWC)
Last March, registrations were closed for a new edition of the Fingerlakes International Wine Competition 2017 (FLIWC), a solidary event ranked among the best according to the ranking of the World Association of Wine and Spirits Journalists and Writers (WAWWJ).
The WAWWJ now encompasses more than 13,500 writers, journalists and industry specialists from 80 countries representing 2600 global medias and 930 publications or media (Writings, TV, Radios) and more than 10000 Internet pages specialized in wines around the world.
Through the celebration of the FLIWC, this association of professionals from the wineworld collaborates with a non-profit organization to which the benefits of this event are destined: Camp Good Days. This organization was founded in 1979 and has become one of the most important in the United States in the fight for the well-being of children with cancer and their families.
In this solidarity context, our winery came with the Treixadura 2015 Collection, and with the Modus Vivendi 2015 as a representative of the Pazo de Toubes premium project, and the result could not have been more satisfactory given the importance of the contest and the category of members Of the WAWWJ.
The Colección 68 Treixadura 2015 has been awarded with a gold medal, demonstrating that monovarietal wines have an important attraction for the American public, always aware of the evolution of Spanish wines. On the other hand, the Modus Vivendi 2015 of Pazo de Toubes began its journey in the FLIWC with a silver medal that serves like starting point to its trajectory of international prizes.
Two new awards for the different projects of our winery, which confirm the good reception of the products of Viña Costeira abroad and that reinforce our position in the international market.
